Alabama Learning Exchange(Alex) is very profound. It consists of courses of studies, web links, lesson plans, searches, personal workspaces, professional learning, distance learning, and help. Courses of studies contain different majors in the education realm. English, Social Studies, Science are just a few. Alex also has diverse web links, such as teacher, administration, and student sites. Lesson plans are also available on Alex. The lesson plans can be accessed by author, title, and school. There are also activitives available to better inform or educate the teachers, such as professional learning. Alabama Leadership Development Purpose was established to increase the achievement of all students in Alabama by supporting the growth and development of superintendents, principals, and teachers as instructional leaders.

All the different tools Alex has to offer will also help new teachers like myself. One of the courses listed is english, which is my major. The english course starts from k5 to the 12th grade. The web links for english/language arts contains the weekly reader galaxy, New York Times learning network, National Council of Teachers of English, Children's Literature Web Guide, etc. The Enlish lesson plans are also listed by year and letter grade. As you can see Alex is an enlightment, inspiration, and most of all delight for educators.
